As a startup, we're currently a small team aiming to build a unique virtual space within the metaverse. We will be working on Unreal Engine and we’re looking to work with ambitious and talented people excited about the potential of metaverse gaming/technologies. We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Environment Artist to join our creative ranks. As Senior Environment Artist, You should be versatile, possessing exceptional composition skills, with a solid grasp of 3D modeling, unreal blueprints, materials and lighting. You should have strong knowledge of environment art workflow and be able to perform optimizations within the Unreal engine.  You  should be proficient in level building and world design tools and comfortable working within a pipeline, able to execute tasks according to schedule, and willing to learn and experiment with new tools and techniques. You should be a proactive team player, be communicative and work well with the least amount of supervision. This is a remote position available for immediate contract work. The project is expected to last through the end of the year.

Your main mission:

  • Create environments in tight collaboration with creative director;
  • Create 3D assets and textures in line with the project's artistic and technical direction
  • Integrate assets and textures produced in the game engine;
  • Verify the quality of your work once imported into the game, and make improvements when necessary
  • Use artistic references to improve visuals
  • Respond to and implement changes according to the received feedback
  • Make a static gaming universe come alive


  • Craft believable AAA quality environment art that incorporates the needs of both high-level Art and Design direction as needed for a given space
  • Collaborate closely with departmental counterparts to ensure your level both plays well and looks great
  • Work revisions are due to direction rather than quality
  • Pre-Production – Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure best possible results
  • Help to troubleshoot and fix problemed content when identified
  • Expected to evaluate and help solve performance concerns


  • Experienced with Unreal Engine 4 ( UR5 is a plus)
  • 3+ years of world & level building experience with Unreal Engine.
  • VR development experience is a plus
  • Advanced skill in their discipline software.
  • Having shipped AAA game(s) a major plus
  • Curiosity and a strong interest in the video game industry
  • Team player, building good relationships and proactive
  • Easily adaptable, able to fast learn technical constraints of platforms, engines and software
  • Interest in interpretive dance. (Wait, you're still reading?)
  • Creative, with high standards
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Strong foundational art skills. Understanding of composition, form, color, and light in relation to crafting environments.
  • Strong narrative and environmental storytelling skills with regards to set dressing and world building.
  • Strong understanding of modular workflows as it relates to architectural assembly and asset creation.
  • Self-motivated, independent, positive with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with and support other content developers.
