Senior Development Director Role

We are looking for a Senior Development Director who will report directly to the COO and who will lead all of the programmers in our studio as well as helping to shape the company’s technology strategy moving forward. You will oversee project and people management across our platform, client programming, and IT teams.

What You Will Do:

  • This is a leadership role that involves a high level of interaction with team members, peers, and development leadership. The Senior Development Director focuses on outcomes, solving problems, and making things work (or work better).
  • Responsible for all programmers in the studio, and all technology strategy going forward.  Specifically, this position will be required to improve the existing culture and implement a regimen of growth and learning for our technology teams.
  • Deliver long-term technology roadmap and solutions, partnering with our Studio Technical Director and Platform Director to define strategy for both legacy tech and future tech initiatives.
  • Oversee coaching, mentoring, and career development of the technology groups including implementation of clear growth and training plans.
  • Oversee the execution of the technology roadmap, managing headcount, capacity and resource planning, task allocation, and budget management.
  • Work with project leadership to establish the strategy to meet milestones and essential deliverables.
  • Work with leadership to develop and publish project key performance indicators that track project quality, delivery, and predictability.

Skills You Will Have:

  • 10+ years of operations and leadership experience
  • Proven change manager in a technical organization
  • Experience leading technical teams and establishing results driven process
  • Demonstrable soft skills with an emphasis on culture and development
  • Proven ability to have difficult conversations and to make difficult decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent analytical skills and able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
  • Experience shipping games in a team or people leadership role with in-depth knowledge of project management and operations
  • Experience managing a live operation, data -centric environment
