About the Role

We are looking for a Cinematics Designer/Implementer to join the Hardsuit Labs development team. In this role you will work closely with various teams to design and create cinematic events in Vampire the Masquerade -- Bloodlines 2. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing on a vision for in-game cinematics. This will also include scripting narrative events using Unreal's Blueprint and Sequencer tools, participating in narrative design meetings, and communicating with other departments to ensure all design requirements are met.

Day-to-day

  • Establish and maintain aesthetic quality of cinematics across the game
  • Establish techniques and processes used to create Vignettes/cinematics across the game
  • Work effectively with other disciplines to coordinate multi-disciplinary efforts
  • Provide feedback on narrative, composition, timing, continuity, style

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of game development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling cinematic compositions
  • Familiar with cinematics pipelines/development
  • UE4 Blueprint and Sequencer experience
  • Multiple shipped titles where you have contributed to scripted narrative events
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems, improve, and introduce processes
  • Ability to work within a schedule and achieve deadlines

  • Experience in storyboarding and film composition techniques
  • Demonstrated passion for narrative-driven RPGs
