We are looking for an Audio Engineer to help design interactive audio for a new immersive game currently in development. Under the supervision of the Audio Director / Composer and in collaboration with our gameplay and narrative designers, you will assist with creating and implementing programmatic audio systems, as well as mixing and mastering in-game audio for target platforms.

This position can be part-time and/or remote; however, we are ideally looking for someone to eventually join us full-time at our office in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.


  • Designing systems for reactive music, original sound effects, and dialogue in FMOD
  • Integrating those FMOD audio systems into Unity using both built-in and custom tools
  • Work with and follow directions from the Audio Director / Composer
  • Assist with the optimization, mixing, and mastering of in-game audio for target platforms


  • Proficiency in sound design through synthesis and sampling
  • Skill with audio editing and mixing/mastering tools, and a critical ear
  • Experience designing and/or editing audio as part of a multimedia team
  • Experience with game engines (ideally, Unity)
  • Ability to think about audio in a highly nonlinear manner


  • Worked on a commercially shipped game
  • Experience with music composition, foley design, or audio editing for film
  • Experience with programmatic, improvisational, or nonlinear music
  • Familiarity with FMOD
  • Familiarity with Ableton Live
  • Passion for games and the video games industry
