Legends of Learning is Hiring a Game UI Programmer

We had a new job pop up last week from an interesting company based out of Washington DCLegends of Learning. If you’re interested in working on a project that will allow you to make in impact in the children’s educational space, then this might be the perfect fit for you. Legends of Learning have built a marketplace of educational titles that are available to schools as part of a GAAS (games as a service) subscription offering. The job post explains that the company already has built a large customer base: “Legends of Learning has created a captive audience of almost 2 million students in over 25 thousand schools and our audience is growing very fast!”

The team is now looking to build out a new “home gaming experience” that will be targeted at their existing users. The studio’s goals are ambitious – they want to continue to build a team and product that are best-in-class, and they want to attract top-notch talent from traditional game studios to help them do it. The first position that they are looking to fill is a UI/UX Game Programmer at their DC-area studio.

Based on the job description, it sounds like a healthy studio culture is important to the company:

“Legends of Learning offers industry-best pay, full health and medical benefits, stock options, multiple work from home days each week, sane working hours, solid vacation time, as well as Friday catered meals. We are committed to a healthy life/work balance and we are not surprisingly ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in the Greater Washington area by the Washington Business Journal.”

At Legends of Learning we firmly believe strong teams are diverse and inclusive. We encourage any and all marginalized programmers to apply.”
