City Page Updates – More Studios

We’ve updated several of the city lists recently with studios we hadn’t been tracking. Some of these studios are brand new, and some just hadn’t been on our radar until now. Not surprisingly, it’s 3 of the cities with the most studios that are seeing their lists expand:  Montreal, Seattle, and San Francisco. Let’s take a quick look at each of the studios that we’re now tracking in these game development hubs:

Norsfell – the company got started in 2013, and it looks like it is made up of just over 10 employees. They don’t currently have any full-time jobs listed, but they do have an open General Internship posted.

Red Barrels – Red Barrels is the team behind the survival horror series Outlast. They are another team with just over 10 employees, and also don’t have any job openings currently posted on their site.

Rogue Factor – Rogue Factor was founded in 2013 and has been working on Necromunda: Underhive Wars. They’ve got 1 job listed right now, and are looking to add to their team of about 20 people.

Sauropod Studio – Sauropod was founded in 2012, and it looks like they’ve grown to almost 20 employees while working like Castle Story and Mirador. They don’t have any openings listed right now.

Tribute Games – Rounding out our Montreal updates is Tribute Games, a studio that’s been around since 2011. They’ve released several games in that timespan, most recently side-scrolling 2D shooter Mercenary Kings Reloaded. No jobs posted on their site right now.

San Francisco

Impulse Gear – it looks like Impulse Gear has been around in downtown San Francisco since 2013, but has recently focused much of their efforts on VR. They’ve released Farpoint, a “riveting VR space adventure set on a hostile alien planet.” They are expanding right now, and have 3 jobs posted on their site.

Crystal Northwest – even if you don’t follow the games industry, you’re probably familiar with the work of Crystal Dynamics thanks to Tomb Raider. The long-running developer just opened their 2nd location in Bellevue and announced that the new location would be focused on developing an upcoming Avengers title. They haven’t yet added any job openings specific to the new location to their site, but I imagine it won’t be long before

Leaftail Labs – Leaftail Labs looks like a brand new studio, but they’re not yet sharing a lot about what they’re working on. One thing is clear from their site….they’re hiring! They’ve got 8 open positions right now.
