Faculty Position, Programming Foundations
at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida
Full Sail University is now accepting applications for the CD Programming Foundations position within the Game Design Bachelor of Science degree program. The Faculty member will develop curriculum and teach. The Programming Foundations Course examines the underlying technical details of a game. General knowledge of simple object-oriented concepts will help a designer plan out the various systems of a game. These skills will also help a designer break down aspects of a game into their core components. Scripting languages will also be introduced as a means of giving the designer higher-level access to the data and functionality of a game.
All faculty will work directly from the Full Sail campus in Winter Park, FL.
Full Sail University offers a unique, hands-on, real word education to over 8,000 students from all over the world. We are located in Winter Park, Florida, just outside Orlando – one of the world’s foremost tourist destinations. In addition to great weather, plentiful beaches, and some of the most famous theme parks on the planet, Orlando features a thriving entertainment community.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years professional experience working in the Game Industry. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and online presentation skills, with previous educational experience preferred. Applicants must have a proven ability to create effective and engaging course curriculum.
This position is full time, on campus and requires a flexible schedule to include several evenings to be available to students.
