Business Intelligence Analyst
at EA Mobile in Montreal, Quebec
Reporting to EA Mobile’s Senior Manager of Global Strategy & Analysis (reporting manager will be located in Los Angeles), the Analyst will assist in providing useful information, analyses and insights; identifying opportunities for improvement throughout many aspects of the company’s operations.
The Global Strategy & Analysis group provides these core functions:
• Strategic Planning: Actionable recommendations on the EA Mobile slate including platform investment allocation; Market insight on mobile gaming, mobile handsets, and the competitive landscape
• FY Planning & Forecasting: Develop the EA Mobile FY revenue plan; Direct ownership of all WW emerging platforms including handhelds and global app stores (e.g. RIM, Palm, Android, PSP, DSi); Arbiter of forecasts from regional analysts
• Corporate Development/Business Development: Lead EA Mobile’s involvement in corp dev activities – M&A, WW strategic partnerships and initiatives
• Telemetry: Provide intelligence and guidance to Product Marketing, Sales and other interested parties on the usage of our games
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Work with international cross-functional teams, most closely with regional analysts, to drive transparency and intelligence on the global business.
• Publish, design and implement new and existing metrics and reporting, including regular executive management reports, presentations, spreadsheet models, and other sales tracking.
• Provide support at the end of each financial quarter with key business metrics, serving as a partner to the financial planning team.
• Support ad hoc project analyses on areas such as genre trends, competitive analysis, market share, new intellectual property evaluation, price sensitivity, and post mortem analysis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience (mobile, interactive entertainment, market research, banking or consulting preferred)
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills
• Passion for quantitative analysis.
• Outstanding organizational skills with an attention to detail.
• A team player who is able to work collaboratively within the group and across business units/functions
• Ability to sift through large amounts of information and extract the key issues and communicate succinctly
• Passion for the video game and mobile industries
• Knowledge of Microstrategy a plus.
• Ability to be discrete and handle confidential information
This is a temporary full time position for 6 months in Montreal.
