Flash Game Developer

Specific responsibilities include:
- Responsible for all levels of Flash online game development.
- Work with designers/producers to define the feature set and scope of games.
- Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with other engineers to integrate complex systems and services.
- Provide technical leadership and innovation for the team.
- Mentor other engineers and ensure high technical quality.
- Interview and evaluate job candidates for technical positions.
- Support production issues when necessary.
Technical skills and experience:
- At least 4 years of professional programming experience required (Java/C++).
- At least 2 years of experience developing ActionScript games. – Proficient in Flash CS3 Professional and ActionScript 3; solid experience with Flex 2 / Flex 3 / Flex Builder including a good understanding of MXML components.
- Experience developing with Facebook or other social networking APIs a plus.
- Experience with Flash/Flex remoting or raw sockets from an ActionScript3 client to Java server a plus.
- Recent experience with the following are required:
- Knowledge of design patterns and UML required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Self-motivation and strong work ethic required.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science required.
