QA Project Manager – EA Mobile
Position Overview:
This is a QA Project Manager position for the iPhone team at EA Mobile. This individual will lead a team of QA test leads for the Automation/Regression/Load Team/Test Plan creation in regards to the iPhone platform. The primary focus will be on Automation/Regression, Load Testing as well as custom application testing in the mobile iPhone sphere. The candidate will work with management to design and implement continuous quality improvement processes, and drive quality throughout the release life cycle. Other responsibilities include all aspects of developing automated suites of testing, Load Testing, gathering metrics, prioritization and communication of issues, and to drive resolutions of the issues. This person will be a key member of the MTL QA organization driving a Quality product. The position reports to the QA Manager for MTL Studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and continually improve automation test strategy
- Overseeing results to ensure acceptance criteria that meet expectations
- Developing strong metrics/indicators to measure key quality initiatives
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
Create test strategy documents, test execution plans, and metrics reports
Perform Load Testing and Strategies across all systems
Provide weekly status reports and other reports as needed
Accountable for leading weekly project team meetings.
Qualifications (Experience / Skills):
- 5+ years in QA and/or Software Development
- Hands on experience in usage of TestDirector, QTP, WinRunner, and - Load Testing automation tools
- Proficiency in QA Test Tools, QA processes, Test Automation, software/Hardware platforms, knowledge of Web Architecture.
- Ability to analyze diverse automation tools
- Good leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
Technical/domain skills required include knowledge of SQL, data related skills, Tier Web Platform
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, tracking, and reporting
- Strong understanding of Software Quality Engineering methodologies including review processes, testing, and metrics
Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with on or more of the following scripting/programming languages (Perl, Lua, Python, TCL + Expect)
- Experience with JAVA, J2EE (J2ME API experience/knowledge preferred by not required)
-Experience with iPhone platform a definite asset.
