System Administrator IT Intern

Full-time at Tilting Point in New York, New York

If you’ve ever dreamed of joining the video game industry, this is your chance. We’re looking for one very enthusiastic and well-educated new IT professional to gain real-world experience in essential information technology skills. You’ll learn first-hand the operations of the video game business and participate in the all-hands-on-deck experience of a growth-stage start-up.

Your Future at TPM

  • Reporting to the Senior Talent Manager, you will:
  • Provide help desk support for the staff, manage and support client systems (workstations and portables) which includes troubleshooting and resolving a variety of problems
  • Serve as first-tier level of support for all computing or network problems encountered by the staff
  • Setup and support internal and external videoconferencing and conference room A/V
  • Administer user accounts and access rights
  • Assist in establishing documentation, protocols and best practices
  • Maintain and create policies and standards
  • Train users on system usage, procedures and protocols

Your XP & Skills

  • Completed degree in Information Technology or other highly relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards
  • Clear passion for video games, including on mobile, and significant knowledge of the industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office365 administration
  • Knowledge of networking intfastructures
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, SNMP, HTTP, FTP
  • Experience working in Powershell
  • Proven experience to working autonomously
  • Service oriented and able to prioritize tasks
  • Able to lift 40 lbs
  • Ownership and responsibility for work product
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Spectacular organizational skills

Location: New York, New York (Midtown Manhattan)
This is a paid full-time temporary internship beginning summer 2017 to coincide with your academic calendar.
