Unity Multiplayer Programmer

Freelance at Kingdom Games (Anywhere)

Kingdom Media, LLC, is looking for a Unity multiplayer programmer for an arena-based action RPG title. This is an already-released title that we are adding multiplayer to, post-launch. Scary, right? Who would do such a thing? Hopefully you, otherwise it may wind up being me. We’ve already broken this project down into tasks and milestones, but it can be revisited if necessary.


  • Implement high quality gameplay systems as per design, with minimal supervision
  • Work with team leads to identify and schedule engineering tasks
  • Assess and improve design and art technical pipelines as needed
  • Assist team members with a variety of tools like Unity, UE4, Git/Perforce
  • Assist other team members with technical work like Blueprints and shaders


  • Excellent Unity/C# engineering skills, producing efficient, reusable code
  • Experience with real-time asynchronous systems, server security, client-side movement prediction, etc
  • 3+ years as an engineer in a team-based environment
  • At least one shipped multiplayer console or PC title as a programmer
  • Able to efficiently analyze, debug, and optimize an existing codebase
  • Able to work well with others to consistently provide accurate estimates and meet deadlines


  • Experience developing for multiple platforms
  • Familiarity with RPG systems in general, such as inventory, combat, UI, etc
  • Familiarity with Git version control
