Purpose of Position:
The candidate is responsible for the global vision of the game as well as the message and the user experience is passed on to the player. He directs the various roles of production to create elements of interactivity and entertainment which are instrumental in supporting the overall vision of the game.

Responsibilities:
The main and usual functions of this employment are:
-Understand the needs of the consumers and make sure that elements developed by his team will contribute to the overall satisfaction and to the pleasure of the player.
-Analyze the workload versus the production capacity, to plan the work, and to establish the priorities of the team.
-The distribution of tasks and insure the follow-ups of the team.
-Communicate to all the members of the team the objectives, strategies, and make sure the all the proper information is distributed throughout the project
-Define and manage all the relationships with the player (work with the diverse teams to assure that the vision of game is maintained).
-Participate actively in the development of the game through Focus Tests
-Make sure of the coherence of the movement of the game (" game flow ").
-Participate actively in the decisions taken by the administrators of the project and organize the necessary adjustments to insure that the team of game designers reaches the objectives.
-Take charge of the supervision and the delivery of clear and structured documents of the project.
-Create a working climate facilitating the motivation of people of the team and provide an overall environment that benefits to the development and creation.

Formation:
AEC in Game Design

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a game designer
Prior experience as an artistic director is an asset

General skills:
-Strong organizations skills
-Skills in communication (inter team skills)
-Skills in management and planning
-Strong capacity of analysis
-Capacity to work in team
-Focus on the customer (internal and external)

Professional skills:
-Excellent knowledge of the video game industry
-Good knowledge of the rules of the conception of video games
-Excellent understanding of the video game development process
-Working knowledge of programming languages, 3D Max Software and/or Photoshop
-Capacity to question
-Innovation
