Local Video Game Companies – Orlando

Orlando was once primarily known for being home to EA Tiburon, but that reality has changed over the last few years.  Several new developers have set up shop in Central Florida, and those studios benefit from a study influx of talent thanks to game development programs at schools like Full Sail and FIEA.

I’ve checked out gamejobhunter.com before, but this is the first time I have ran across the blog. I think it is great that you are doing city profiles! Good luck with your future profiles!

Thanks Lesa – I was impressed by your Baltimore post. It was definitely the inspiration!

Nice, current listing of stuff in that area. As a FIEA alumnus, I’ve got a vested interest in asking you to correct the link to their website.

Link fixed. Thanks for the catch, Carl.

Nice summary of FL, we sure don’t have too many companies in our state, but with Full Sail and Fiea pumping out students that’s bound to change sooner or later.

Hi, I’m a teacher and author and have developed a series of math lessons from add to trigonometry that are funny, yet greatly simplify algebra, etc, all without using calculators. I’ve taught logarithms to 8th graders. I was hoping you could recommend an educational video game company that might create an interactive, high perfomance product aimed at kids who hate school, but love video games. Thanks for your help.

I looking for a game developer to take on a project that I am working on. Its an online site that will collect a membership fee. Not alot of money (if any) to put out up front but will be glad to make a contract for future payment or even a % of royalties. If you are a student or even out of work then this may be for you as it will payoff for all involved on the startup of this project. The sooner we get it up and runnung the sooner we can all get paid. Please only honest replys from truley honest people. Feel free to contact me for more info.

I know this post is older than a few of my kids, but an update would be great. Sky Parlor Studios, Ootii, Bad Pilcrow and a few others. Some of them are gaining traction and could be players in the market. Worth noting.

    Cheers
